Our bodies were designed for movement, but while primitive man spent most of his day hunting, gathering, and moving about, modern man spends the vast majority of his waking hours sitting in front of a computer or television. Even if you’re the type that likes to work in daily exercise, chances aren’t you aren’t moving around as much as you could, or should.
Because of this, many people suffer from aches and pains that can be attributed to a sedentary lifestyle, muscle atrophy, poor posture, or other causes of tightness and tension. The simple solution, of course, is to move more, and adding stretches throughout the day could be just what the doctor ordered.
